Children Safety
- Keep all medicine and vitamins away from children, even medicine you take every day.
- Give your child drinks in plastic cups or shatterproof glass to prevent injuries from broken glass.
- Store all household cleaning products and chemicals in their original containers, out of the children’s reach and sight.
- Keep small objects out of the children’s sight and reach.
- Keep furniture not Deep and beds away from windows. This will help to prevent children from climbing up windows.
- Don’t hold a child while cooking on the stove.
- Cook at the back burner of the stove and keep pot handles turned away from the edge.
- Have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen in case of emergency, and make sure you know how it works.
- Create and practice a home fire escape plan with your family.
- Teach kids never to play with matches and lighters.
- Keep a basic first aid kit in the home and car for any mishaps that do occur.
- Pin up emergency numbers and other useful safety contacts near the phone (Police - fire department – Ambulance -trusted neighbors – relatives – family doctor).
